The burst of scent was triggered when one tripped the sensor by leaning into the dimple. Photo D S + R / MAD
The automated scent card dispensers replaced the perfumed cards when one was pulled out from the bulge.

We pre-seamed the 3D printed bulges to frames that were later seamed in the architecture.
The wall framing supported the wall cantilever for the air return.
The dimples, acrylic for the rear projected labels, and bulges were seamed in the walls to be coplanar.
Yuichiro Nishizawa did a great job adapting parking ticket dispensers for the perfume cards.
